Before starting up JFF, Justin was Climate Director at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, overseeing a range of philanthropic strategies and programmes.

Prior to that he spent 9 years at Centrica Plc, the energy and services company, in a variety of roles including as Group Head of Strategic Projects. Between 2006 and 2009 Justin was at the UK Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) as Specialist Adviser to the Ministerial team and Secretary of State.

He spends his free time running, watching his daughters run and running after his dog when she’s seen a cat.

He has previously been a Trustee of the Clean Air Fund, a Trustee of CDP, and a Member of the Board of Directors of C40 Cities.

Naima joined JFF after spending a number of years at International Rescue Committee (IRC) as CFO for Europe, overseeing a range of activities for IRC’s office across various locations.

Prior to this she held several director-level positions in the not-for profit sector, including at Friends of the Earth and Age UK. Her earlier career was in corporate finance and management consultancy, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant after completing undergraduate studies in Law.

She has also held non-executive positions, including most recently at the Global Water Partnership, based in Stockholm. She has contributed to her professional body, the ICAEW, by being a member of its Ethics Advisory Committee as well as serving as ICAEW London President.

When not working, she enjoys spending time with her son and daughter, and finding time for running and reading – although not necessarily all at the same time.

Caspar has over 20 years’ finance experience in the corporate sector and has joined JFF to support the pursuit of impact.

Despite studying Classics at university, he has previously worked at Finance Director level in the media, facilities management and financial services sectors and brings a breadth of finance experience to the Foundation to help maximise its impact and continue to embed best-in-class operations.

When he isn’t counting beans, he is an enthusiastic yet terrible golfer, a now very part-time cricketer, but most of all a very proud father to two young boys.

Rachel retired from professional sport in 2013 following her long and successful volleyball career which culminated in representing Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic games. Since this time Rachel has faced her own challenges with regards to transitioning to life after professional sport but she has been fortunate to spend time working within the National Governing Body of Volleyball England and more recently as a Relationship Manager within Active Essex.

Rachel enjoys volunteering as she regularly coaches the local U18 girls’ volleyball team in Essex. Rachel also currently chairs, Essex Cricket in the Community, who are the County Board that provide Cricket to Essex by inspiring the younger generation to be engaged, enhanced, and excited about cricket.

Veronica has over twelve years of experience in the environmental and sustainability sectors. Before joining JFF, she was a Global Coordinator at WWF-International supporting tropical forest countries across the world towards Deforestation-Free action in the most impactful global agri-commodity supply chains. Prior to this, she was the Head of the Forest and Land Use programme of the UK Government in the British Embassy in Colombia, where she managed a multi-million-pound portfolio to support halting deforestation and promoting sustainable livelihoods in remote and conflict-affected areas.

Throughout her journey in both government and international organisations she has devoted most of her time in addressing the underlying drivers of deforestation and land conversion by connecting and collaborating with communities and other partners across diverse contexts.

When not working, Veronica loves to travel to natural landscapes, practice yoga, dance, and most recently enjoying comedy shows across London.

Before joining JFF, Ava was working in the Government Relations team of the NSW Treasury Corporation, where she was involved in implementing sustainability programmes across the business. Prior to this, she was working as an Analyst at Macquarie Bank. Ava has a Master of Sustainability from the University of Sydney, where she focused on sustainability in business, policy, and law.

Outside of work, you can either find Ava cooking for friends and family, at the pub, or finding a nice spot to go swimming.

Before taking on the role of Business Manager, Emilie worked in Operations at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) focusing on systems implementation and change management. Emilie previously worked in Strategy and Project Management at her local NHS Trust for the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination programme. She gained a Masters degree in International Security and Terrorism Studies from the University of Birmingham specialising in feminist security studies and agency.

Outside of the Foundation, Emilie can be found at Franklin’s Gardens watching Northampton Saints Rugby, watching the Formula One or training for her first half marathon while listening to Taylor Swift.
